Redeem & Activate — Step-by-Step Guide
Office 2024 Home & Business is a retail key that binds to your Microsoft account. Redeem it once and Office activates automatically every time you sign in with that account — on Windows or Mac.
Step 1: Redeem Your Product Key
Go to setup.office.com, sign in with your Microsoft account (create one if you don't have one), enter your 25-character product key, and click Redeem.
Step 2: Install Office
After redeeming, click Install Office to download the installer from your account — or use the direct download link above for your language instead.
Step 3: Run the Installer
Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen prompts to install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Step 4: Sign In to Activate
Open any Office app and sign in with the same Microsoft account you used to redeem the key. Office activates automatically — no separate product-key entry inside the app is needed.
Confirm Activation
In Word, go to File → Account. It should show "Product Activated" under your Office edition. Repeat the check in Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook if needed.
Make sure you're connected to the internet during redemption and first sign-in.
