Go to mcafee.com/activate and sign in, or create a free McAfee account.
Enter the 25-character activation key you received by email.
Click Download to install McAfee on this device, then repeat sign-in and download on each additional PC covered by your key (up to 5 PCs).
Open the installer and follow the on-screen setup — McAfee activates automatically once installation finishes.

Please make sure you're connected to the internet during activation.
