CID - Get Confirmation ID
A Confirmation ID (CID) is the code Microsoft's phone activation system asks for when a Windows or Office product key can't activate automatically over the internet — usually after a hardware change, a reinstall, or an issue with an OEM/volume license key. This service generates a valid Confirmation ID from your Installation ID (IID) so you can complete phone-style activation without actually calling Microsoft. Delivery is instant: submit your Installation ID after checkout and receive your Confirmation ID by email or through your order status page. This is a support service, not a replacement product key — you'll need your own existing Windows or Office key or Installation ID already in hand. MCAKey is a Certified Microsoft Partner and Authorized Microsoft Reseller; this CID service is provided as an activation support tool for our customers and other users stuck on a phone-activation screen.
What is a Confirmation ID (CID) used for?
It's the code Microsoft's phone-activation system requires to finish activating Windows or Office when normal internet activation fails — for example after a hardware change or on certain OEM/volume keys. You enter your Installation ID (IID) into the activation wizard's phone-activation screen, then enter the matching Confirmation ID it needs.
Do I need to already own a Windows or Office license to use this service?
Yes — this service generates a Confirmation ID for an activation you're already attempting with your own existing license key and Installation ID. It doesn't include or replace a product key itself.
