Redeem & Activate — Step-by-Step Guide
Excel 2024 is a retail key that binds to your Microsoft account. Redeem it once and it activates automatically every time you sign in with that account — on Windows or Mac.
Step 1: Redeem Your Product Key
Go to setup.office.com, sign in with your Microsoft account (create one if you don't have one), enter your 25-character product key, and click Redeem.
Step 2: Install Excel 2024
After redeeming, click Install to download the installer from your account — or use the direct download link above for your language.
Step 3: Run the Installer
Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen prompts to install Excel 2024.
Step 4: Sign In to Activate
Open Excel 2024 and sign in with the same Microsoft account you used to redeem the key. It activates automatically — no separate product-key entry is needed inside the app.
Confirm Activation
Go to File → Account. It should show "Product Activated" under your edition.
Make sure you're connected to the internet during redemption and first sign-in.
